We have a non-reactive, extremely social dog at the shelter who we used with a troubled dog in the circle and the results were better than I could have imagined! Within a few minutes, the dog was actually offering some play behavior—which we never have seen from her!

©Circle Training has helped me to evaluate interactions with my classes.  I’m not one to just let all the pups gather and “see how it goes.”  I like to be very careful because of the detrimental effects a bad experience can have on young pups.  It gives me a chance to evaluate body language and stress signals before I let them play face-to-face.  It also allows me to look at play style and match up dogs appropriately.  If I see a lot of hesitancy or if a dog is very young and a bit uncertain, I wait until the next week and try again using the ©Circle Training to keep everyone safe.  I see it as a confidence building mechanism that takes the pressure off everyone involved ~ pups & people.
